In reporting published November 1, 2026, former AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick alleged that Pentagon leadership instructed staff to remove explanatory conclusions from some UAP cases before their public release. This is Kirkpatrick’s account; the article does not supply an authenticated directive identifying the officials, dates or affected cases.

Separate clarification: images are illustrations

The Fox News report also attributes to the department a clarification that imagery accompanying a recently publicized FBI triangular-object case was illustrative, not photographic evidence of the reported object. These illustrations must not be presented as actual photographs.

Why this matters

A public release lacking an explanation does not by itself prove that investigators had no explanation. Conversely, Kirkpatrick’s allegation does not establish that every released case was resolved. The reported case should be cross-checked against original PURSUE Release 07 documents and any subsequently released agency correspondence.

Evidence status and open questions

Statements are attributed to named sources. The alleged removal order has not been independently authenticated by GreyAlien. Which cases were affected, who authorized edits and what conclusions were removed remain unverified. This reporting is contextual to the FBI/AARO triangular-object record, not a new confirmation of unusual performance or origin.
